The halt of air traffic in the UK, Scandinavia, and much of western and eastern Europe due to the volcanic ash from Iceland has promptly caused a fallout for East African travelers as well. Flights in and out of Europe from the main hubs in East Africa like Nairobi, Entebbe, Dar es Salaam, and Addis Ababa were also affected, as either no aircraft arrived from Europe or no aircraft left for Europe to avoid the dangers posed by the ash clouds now covering much of the European skies.
